Poverty, Illiteracy and unawareness

There's poverty in India and a lot many people suffer by it badly , many people have to sleep empty stomach because of short of money, many have to do hard labor to earn a piece of bread n many people have to migrate to other places leaving their home and family to some other place in order to earn money.

Illiteracy and unawareness are great problems of India due which level of life of Indian people keep on decreasing leading to problems for younger generation. Due to their parent's outdated thinking and knowledge children have to suffer a lot.

This article is about effect of poverty , illiteracy n unawareness of old generation and their outcome to the society n people nearby.

In this article i am mentioning about a girl named Nandani , she is 10 years old from merchant class and bit poor. Her father works in places like Saudi to earn money and sends money home for his family. Nandani's mother is a illiterate housewife and a really unaware person with a closed mind.

So let me tell u that Nandani is a very bright, intelligent, impressive n sharp child , she always carries a smile on her face which makes her even more prettier . She loves to study n she goes to a government school of her place for elementary education. I met her when i went to my maternal uncle's place  to attend some function , she lives near by in my uncle's locality. I share a very good bond with her  she also loves to talk to me .

So mentioning about Nandani's consequences-

her mother is kinda lazy type of women n loves to talk around with people and do nothing. She forces Nandani to do all household chores . In beginning Nandani did all works along with attending school but now her mother wanted that Nandani should quit school be at home  n help her in house so she prohibited Nandani from going to school.  She had a mindset that studies will lend Nandani nothing at the end she has to do household chores n  get married to someone , no  need of studies in Nandani's life. But  Nandani loved to study n wanted to continue her studies so ignoring her mother's words she ran off to school next morning without eating anything n not letting her mom see her escape.

When Nandani's mother got to know that Nandani ran off to school she became very angry n decided to teach Nandani a lesson. When in afternoon Nandani came back home her mother started beating n thrashing her n continued beating till blood oozed out from Nandani's body, she kept lying n crying on floor helplessly.

From next day Nandani started looking after house like a housewife. After few months her mother gave birth to a boy n after this Nandani became a nurse too always taking care of brother n mother.

She still longed to study but couldn't........

The motive behind telling about Nandani here is to point out that still such type of miserable things happen in India . Due to unawareness and illiteracy of Nandani's mother Nandani had to remain illiterate in spite of having a  strong zeal for studies.

So spreading of awareness and literacy is a very important for us Indians. We need to take some initiative to wipe of such bane from our society..............
